Leprous - Pitfalls

Leave it to the lads in Leprous to one-up themselves yet again, even if they’re not on the level of Metallica, Slipknot or Tool. “Below,” the first single to be released from their forthcoming album, Pitfalls, is everything you love about the band already and more: string arrangements, electronic elements, Einar Solberg’s dynamic and emotive voice, and, of course, what can only be described as the band’s trademark Leprousness. They’re truly one of a kind. The stunning video for the track was directed by Dariusz Szermanowicz of Grupa13.

Comments Solberg on the track:

“”Below” was the first song written for the “Pitfalls” album and it was composed in a period of denial of what was to come. It was a very spontaneous song, made first with only piano and vocals. “Below” is a very emotional and melancholic track, and it means a lot to me personally – both musically and lyrically. Large cinematic string arrangements, electronic elements, very acoustic and organic parts – all combined. Very epic but at the same time very fragile!”

Pitfalls comes out on October 25 via InsideOutMusic; pre-order here.
