Morgan Rose Hospitalized; Sevendust Drop off U.K. Tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown

At the risk of sounding like an overprotective Jewish mother: Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose has been hospitalized for an unspecified illness and I’m kinda freaking out. I mean it seems like he’s gonna be fine — the band has been forced to drop off their upcoming U.K. tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown, but they’re still planning to do their three annual acoustic Christmas shows, which begin a week after the United Kingdom trek would have ended. Still. I hear the word “hospitalized” and I start to sweat. I hope Morgan is okay!

Here’s a statement from the band:

“U.K. Family –

“It is with a heavy heart we have to say that we will not be able to join our brothers in Alter Bridge & Shinedown on the upcoming U.K. tour dates on the #WalkTheSkyTour.

“Morgan is sick, in the hospital and under Doctor orders not to move or leave the country.

“We WILL make it up to you all!

“See you guys at the Acoustic Xmas shows.

Here’s hoping Mr. Rose was hospitalized purely as a precaution and is back on his feet faster than you can scream “Stop fucking with my head!”
