Video: Sevendust’s Morgan Rose Returns to the Stage After Surgery

0

Earlier this month, Sevendust were forced to drop off of their previously scheduled U.K. tour with Alter Bridge and Shinedown because drummer Morgan Rose was “sick, in the hospital and under doctor orders not to move or leave the country.” Rose later revealed that he was set to undergo surgery, then posted an update indicating the procedure was successful and that he hoped to participate in the band’s upcoming trio of acoustic shows. The nature of Rose’s medical issue was never revealed publicly.

Rose was indeed well enough to perform with the band at the first two of those shows — Athens, GA on December 28 and Orlando, FL last night (December 29) — with the final performance set for tonight in Ft. Lauderdale (tickets). Some fan-filmed footage of the Athens performance is available below, including a cover of Nine Inch Nails’s “Hurt.”

On behalf of everyone at MetalSucks, we’re very glad Morgan is on his way back to full health!
