Exclusive Song + Video Premiere: Night Crowned’s “IRA”

On February 28, Noble Demon will release one of the year’s earliest contenders for Best Metal Albums of 2020: Impius Viam (Lating for His Path), the debut full-length from Sweden’s Night Crowned. Featuring current and former members of Dark Funeral, Nightrage, and Cipher System, Night Crowned’s brand of capital-E Epic blackened melodic death metal is an addictive mix of rage and sorrow packaged with cinematic hooks and anti-religious fervor. Lots of bands out there right now are trying, and failing, to do what Night Crowned are doing — and Night Crowned make it look easy!

MetalSucks is thrilled to debut “IRA,” the opening track from Impius Viam, and a song that’s guaranteed to grab ahold of you and refuse to let go. Trust us: after you hear “IRA”, Impius Viam is gonna leap to the very top of your “MUST HEAR!” list.

Says bassist/guitarist/keyboardist Henric Liljesand of the track:

“IRA is one of the seven deadly sins (anger). In this song IRA is a being that works without a name and brings forth the true nature of man. And when you let the creature loose & invoke the chaos, it leaves you with only emptiness. Until next time he comes to visit.”

Check out “IRA” below, via the most-excellent Peter Tuthill-directed video. You can pre-order Impius Viam here!
