As Dee Snider himself points out early in his catchy, anthemic new studio track, “Prove Me Wrong,” he’s been doing this — “this” being metal — for nearly fifty years. That impressive by any standard… but even more so because at the age of 65, he still looks and sounds pretty goddamn great.

Presumably in celebration of this fact, Snider has announced that he’ll release a new live album and DVD/ Blu-ray set, For the Love of Metal Live, on July 31 via Napalm Records.

According to a press release, the DVD/ Blu-ray portion will feature “behind-the-scenes footage, various detailed interview clips, insightful personal commentary and electrifying live performances” which were “captured from several Dee Snider festival performances worldwide.” The collection documents performances of both Twisted Sister classics and Dee’s solo material, and the album portion includes the aforementioned new track to sweeten the pot.
