“Parasite Eve”: Bring Me the Horizon Bring You a New Song

  • Axl Rosenberg

Given the tepid response to last year’s amo, you might assume that for their next outing, Bring Me the Horizon would abandon their recent forays into pop and return to the metalcore sound for which they’re known. But based on their new single, “Parasite Eve,” that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. It’s heavier than that song about cough drops, sure, but large swaths of it are definitely amo-esque; at its most guitar driven, it’s still more on par with something like “Mantra” than any of the stuff that actually made the band famous. So it seems like they’re sticking with the whole “We’re not really metal anymore” vibe, at least for now.

You can check out “Paraside Eve” for yourself below. The video was directed and edited by Mr. Oli Sykes himself.
