Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda Is Running for President

As you may have heard, over the weekend, rapper Kanye West announced his 2020 presidential bid.

Not to be outdone, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda subsequently announced his OWN run for office.

Okay, okay, so, clearly, Shinoda is kidding, and not-so-subtly calling Kanye’s announcement a publicity ploy (he hasn’t actually filed with the Federal Election Commission) to promote his new single, “Wash Us in the Blood,” which was released last week (Shinoda announced a new album of his own just a day later). Still, as much as I dislike the music of Linkin Park, I would back Shinoda over Donald Trump any day of the week. Granted, I’d back my dog over Donald Trump any day of the week, too. But still…!

Meanwhile, we gotta give props to this fan, who came up with the perfect slogan for a Shinoda 2020 campaign:
