Mors Principium Est Unveil Perfect Slice of Melodeath, “Lost in Starless Aeon”

Mors Principium Est are good for a quality slice of classic melodic death metal every couple of years or so; the pace at which the Finnish band releases albums (led by multi-instrumentalist Andy Gillion) is almost as consistent as the top-notch quality of the music itself.

So it is with great celebration that we learn of the forthcoming Seven, the band’s appropriately titled seventh full-length, and the premiere of a new song called “Lost in Starless Aeon” (“A Day for Redemption” came out last month but I missed it, so I’ll post that below too). There are no surprises here: Mors Principium Est haven’t suddenly gone all Entombed on you, nor has Gillion ceased being an absolute master at composing this style of music. This is as good as it gets!

Seven comes out October 23 via AFM Records; pre-order here.
