Bring Me the Horizon’s New Song Will Bring “Teardrops” to Your Eyes

The nicest thing I can say about “Teardrops,” the new single from Bring Me the Horizon, is that the music video reminded me of Duran Duran’s 1993 clip for the song “Come Undone,” on account of both vids including people “singing” underwater. As a result, I’ve just watched “Come Undone” for the first time since probably 1994, and it is glorious. I don’t think I ever questioned why the band is performing in an aquarium when I was a kid. What the shit.

As for “Teardrops,” well… yeah the clip looks pretty. A weightless human being with bubbles escaping from their mouth will always be a cool visual. The song is the pits, though. It will make you long for the songwriting talents of Simon Le Bon, Warren Cuccurullo, and Nick Rhodes.

If you’re feeling masochistic, you can check out “Teardrops” below. The track will appear on their new EP, Post Human: Survival Horror, which comes out October 30, just in time for your Halloween costume to be “Person Who Likes Terrible Music.”
