AC/DC Debut Video for New Single “Shot in the Dark”

Regarding the new AC/DC song, “Shot in the Dark”… anyone else still trying to figure out why “A shot in the dark beats a walk in the park”? A walk in the park is something easy. A shot in the dark is an uneducated guess. I would think the easy thing would be preferable to depending entirely on luck. I mean, not that anyone has ever listened to AC/DC for their poetic acumen (save for maybe “Big Balls,” but those lyrics were written by Bon Scott, not Brian Johnson). But still.

Chew that over while watching the newly-released music video for “Shot in the Dark.” It’s not really that thrilling of a video, although it’s always nice to see the boys still hoppin’ and skippin’ and stompin’ around together.

You can check out the clip below, as well as a talk with the band and David Mallet, who frequently directs their music videos.

“Shot in the Dark” will appear on AC/DC’s new album, PWR/UP, which will be released November 13. The band’s seventeenth full-length studio album will reunite the surviving members of their Back in Black-era line-up: Angus Young (lead guitar), Brian Johnson (vocals), Cliff Williams (bass), and Phil Rudd (drums). Stevie Young takes over rhythm guitar duties from the late Malcolm Young, whose final riffs appear on the record (although Malcolm himself does not).

Pre-order PWR/UP here.
