Firstborne, the new project featuring drummer Chris Adler (ex-Lamb of God), bassist James LoMenzo (ex-Megadeth, ex-Black Label Society, ex-White Lion, etc.), guitarist Myrone, and singer Girish Pradhan (Girish and the Chronicles), have released a new song called “Sacred Lights.”

It’s easily the band’s best song to date. It’s thrashy as fuck, Pradhan is quickly proving himself to be one of the best younger singers in metal, a it has not one, but two killer guitar solos: a classical Spanish-style acoustic solo by Pradhan, and a more traditionally-metal electric solo by Myrone.

There’s also a GNARLY string growl around the 1:15 mark. I can’t tell if it’s Myrone or LoMenzo. But after the first time I heard it, I had to back the track up and listen again, because I wasn’t 100% a motorcyle or something hadn’t just passed by the window.

Check out “Sacred Lights” via the below music video.

Firstborne released their debut in EP in June. You can stream it on all DSPs and/or purchase it here. They released another single, “Cut the Strings,” last month; you can listen to that here.
