Steel Panther Debut Timely New Song/Video, “F#ck 2020”

0

Steel Panther have been forced to cancel their upcoming Gobblefest livestream concert scheduled for tomorrow, December 5, on account of new Covid-19 restrictions in place in California as the virus surges long past out-of-control there. But in its place they’ve released a brand new song called “F#ck 2020,” and man, who can’t relate to that?

The song pokes fun at the Covid-19 pandemic — Steel Panther are a satire act, remember? — and pays tribute to those we’ve lost this year, both because of the coronavirus (Kenny Rogers) and for other reasons (Eddie Van Halen, natch). Masks, Zoom calls, inability to get massages… all the things that suck about 2020 are here, culminating in the glorious refrain, “Fuck 2020, 2020 can suck my dick.” Pair all that with some glorious green screen action and you’ve got a superbly entertaining, classic Steel Panther video.

Watch below or right here if the embed doesn’t work! Gobblefest will be rescheduled and all tickets to the original date will still be valid. As of right now, the band’s New Year’s Eve Special concert is still on.
