Avenged Sevenfold Share Video From the Studio

  • Axl Rosenberg

M. Shadows (né Matthias Penumbra) has said that Avenged Sevenfold won’t release their new album until the band can tour again… but that doesn’t mean they’re not working on it!

As of last month, Shadows estimated that the group had already completed 70% of the record; now the band has shared some footage from the studio. It’s mostly Shadows, off-camera, giving directions/suggestions to drummer Brooks Wackerman (ex-Bad4Good, #neverforget). I don’t think anyone but the most devoted A7X fan will find it all that interesting, but I have four kids to feed, so I’m sharing it just in case.

You can watch the video below. It was first shared via a livestream on the band’s ‘Gram, but was subsequently uploaded to YouTube by someone who thinks the rent is too damn high.

Avenged Sevenfold’s last album, The Stage, was surprise released in 2016. That marketing decision went swimmingly.
