‘Ten Second Songs’ is No More: YouTuber Anthony Vincent Rebrands Channel

0

You’ve no doubt seen Anthony Vincent’s videos before, both on this site and, well, friggin’ everywhere. His Ten Seconds Songs YouTube channel, with nearly 3.5 million followers, has made quite a name for itself over the past few years thanks to Vincent’s uncanny ability to sing brief snippets (ten seconds!) of famous songs in the distinct style of other artists, with frequent nods to metal.

But Vincent’s “Ten Second Songs” videos will be no more. In a new, nine-minute, at-times emotional video with the attention-grabbing but not fully accurate title “Goodbye,” Vincent explains the challenges and frustrations he’s faced on the hamster wheel of pigeonholed content creation over the past seven years (I feel ya, buddy), and announces that he’s changed the name of his channel from Ten Second Songs to Anthony Vincent. Acknowledging the difficulties that lie ahead without the low-hanging click fruit of a tried and true formula, Vincent ends the video with a humorous sketch before he sets out into the great unknown.

What awaits Vincent’s channel next? We’ll have to wait and see, but we can only imagine he’s got tons of ideas brewing. It’s a bold move, and we applaud him for taking the step!
