Napalm Death’s “You Suffer” Gets an Acoustic Cover

Hard to believe, but Napalm Death never got asked to do MTV’s Unplugged back in the day. This despite the fact that the band’s music would clearly lend itself to acoustic renditions with a minimum of fuss.

Fortunately, Anthony Vincent (ex-Ten Second Songs, mustache wax spokesperson waiting to happen) has now released an acoustic cover of the group’s “You Suffer,” so we can at least kind of imagine what Napalm Death Unplugged might’ve sounded like.

“You Suffer,” of course, holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s shortest song, clocking in at an extremely brisk 1.316 seconds. Vincent’s version is a bit longer. He really lets the melody breathe.

That makes Vincent’s iteration of the song even more romantic than the original. Bummer that he didn’t release this in time for that one couple to use it as their first married dance.
