Video: World’s Most Romantic Couple Has First Married Dance to Napalm Death’s “You Suffer”

Metal is, has been, and shall continue to be the world’s most romantic form of music. This is, simply put, an indisputable fact.

Why, in the 14+ years that MetalSucks has existed alone, we’ve seen a Slayer wedding mosh pit, a System of a Down wedding mosh pit, a couple cutting their wedding cake to Hatebreed, a bride walking down the aisle to Lamb of God, a bride and groom shred down the aisle, fans propose at shows and/or meet and greets with Slayer, Fear Factory, Korn, Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, Amon Amarth, Napalm Death, and Stone Sour, Mastodon’s Brent Hinds and Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop propose mid-show (not to each other), and, of course, that couple holding hands while headbanging at an Amon Amarth show. I mean, it’s like, “Move over, smooth jazz and R&B, heavy metal is here and ready to make love until the sun comes up.”

So not that metal needed further proof of its romanticism… but now we have one: a video of some nice folks using Napalm Death’s “You Suffer” as the soundtrack for their first dance as a married couple. Awwwwwwww!

The clip was posted by the couple on YouTube, but doesn’t reveal their names or the location of the wedding. The description of the video reads, simply and drolly:

“’Allowing the Carvings for Mutual Compassion’ by Last Days of Humanity was a couple seconds too long, so we settled on ‘You Suffer.’”

You can watch the video below. It warms the cockles of our hearts to such a degree that we’re not even gonna question the sanity of having your first wedding dance include the lyrics “You suffer but why?”.

Napalm Death haven’t commented yet but expect that to change just as soon as someone can get Barney Greenway on the horn.

The grindcore progenitors’ most recent record, Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism, was one of 2020’s best. Hopefully you already know that.
