Winger Cancel Show Due to Multiple Covid-19 Cases

0

Winger canceled their show in Minnesota last night, September 5, due to multiple unspecified members of the band’s touring party testing positive for Covid-19.

In a statement published to social media, the band explained that all those who tested positive were vaccinated and the symptoms they’re experiencing are mild.

The band had performed on September 3 in Obetz, OH. No other shows are scheduled until October.

Winger’s statement reads:

“Unfortunately, while we have been practicing CDC and locally recommended COVID-19 protocols on tour, members of our touring party tested positive for COVID-19. Thankfully, everyone was vaccinated, so only experienced mild symptoms. However, for the safety of our band, crew members, venue staff and fans, we need to cancel our show in Sauk Rapids, MN tonight. Firehouse will be playing instead and we wish everyone a great show! Thanks to all for your support and we apologize to those fans we won’t be seeing. Can’t wait to be back when it is 100% safe for everyone to do so. Stay safe!”

We wish a speedy recovery to all those infected.

Winger are just the latest to join an ever-growing list of artists that have had to cancel shows or entire tours due to the ongoing pandemic, including Corey TaylorNine Inch NailsDeftonesKorn, the Foo FightersBuckcherryLimp Bizkit, Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH, Iron Maiden’s Bruce DickinsonIntronautPop EvilThe SkullAlesana, and Light the Torch.
