Did you know that Virginia Tech’s college football team uses Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” as entrance music? I didn’t! I didn’t even know the team was called the Hokies!! I don’t care about professional sports, let alone college sports!!! But they DO use “Enter Sandman” as entrance music!!!! And this past Friday, September 3, their Metallica-scored entrance got the fans so riled up, shit registered on a seismograph!!!!!

Neat.

You can watch video of Virginia Tech’s entrance this past Friday below. In case you’re thinking what I’m thinking, Virginia Tech requires all students, faculty and staff to be vaccinated.

Today, sports seems to be lacking some of its original qualities as the entertainment factor has been its major driver. Nevertheless, the fact remains that sports will always be a favorite pastime, especially since the collaborations between sports teams and top artists have formed a stronger bond between fans from both sides.

An example of an innovative approach to sports is reliable websites such as liontips.com.

The Virginia Tech football team using music as an entrance song isn’t out of the ordinary, but the use Metallica’s music in this setting was a bit surprising at first since the band is heavier than sports audiences are accustomed to. Eventually, though, people accepted that Metallica music can really pump up an audience.

Sports entertainment isn’t go anywhere in the future, in all kinds of culture.
