Our Best Sample of Guns N’ Roses’ “Hard School” Yet
A new supercut of various rehearsals and what sounds like genuine studio audio has provided us with our best sampling of the new Guns N’ Roses song, “Hard School.”
The video was uploaded by YouTube user __H_G_H__, who just launched their account in April and have only this sole, unlisted video.
Some of the video is rehearsal footage from the band’s 2019 tour, which we’ve seen already, but a lot of it is from their currently-in-progress trek.
This would seem to all but confirm the rumor that the release of “Hard School” is imminent. The band has six shows remaining on their current tour, so if they’re gonna drop it, they’re gonna drop it soon.
In the meantime, you can check out the video below.
Like “Absurd,” the new song the band dropped in August, “Hard School” (once known as “Jackie Chan”) was originally written for, but ultimately didn’t make it onto, Chinese Democracy. Although it has never been performed live, leaked studio demos of the song have been floating around the web for years. The track sounds like it has since been reworked to be more Slash/Duff-friendly (which, again, is what they did with “Absurd”).
On a semi-related note, “Absurd” is technically called “ABSUЯD,” and “Hard School” may actually be spelled “Hard Skool.” That might be optimal for SEO, but holy shit, do I hate it. From here on out, is every new Guns N’ Roses song gonna have a title that sounds like it was taken from a Korn album?
