Roadburn 2022 Announces Initial Lineup Featuring Ulver, Alcest, Sólstafir, Russian Circles, Primitive Man and More
Roadburn, the acclaimed metal and arts festival hosted in Tilburg, The Netherlands, has today made its first lineup announcement for its 2022 incarnation, set to take place from April 21 through 24, 2022. The majority of tickets to the festival have already been sold, but a limited number will go on sale today (October 26) at 7pm CEST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT via Ticketmaster.nl.
Following the festival’s online event in 2021, titled Roadburn Redux, the real-life celebration will return this coming April, curated by Milena Eva and Thomas Sciarone of the Dutch band Gggolddd (past Roadburn curators have included Converge’s Jacob Bannon, At the Gates’ Tomas Lindberg and more). Some highlights of the lineup announced so far include Ulver performing a set focused on their most recent release, Flowers of Evil, Liturgy performing their 2019 album H.A.Q.Q in full, Perturbator’s James Kent and Cult of Luna’s Johannes Persson bringing to life a commissioned piece, Final Light, Full of Hell playing four times as artists-in-residence, Alcest trotting out their beloved 2010 album Écailles de Lune in full, Sólstafir playing Svartir Sandar from start to finish, standard sets from Russian Circles and Primitive Man, and so much more.
