Gene Simmons Urges Ace Frehley to Appear on KISS’ Farewell Tour: “The Fans Would Love It”

0

Given their fraught history, one might assume that KISS and former guitarist Ace Frehley would never share the stage again. But apparently, Gene Simmons doesn’t think so, having urged Frehley to join the band on their upcoming ‘End of the Road’ farewell tour.

As reported by Blabbermouth, a few years ago, Frehley said he’d actually be down to join the band onstage:

“It would be nice to go back out again with them. But it’s not my call. I think we have a really good relationship now. I text Paul [Stanley, KISS frontman] back and forth and we’ve worked together, as I have with Gene. I would seriously consider it, but the money would have to be right. I’m not gonna take [current KISS guitarist] Tommy Thayer’s salary.

“It would certainly sell more tickets with me involved. I have a gut feeling it will happen.”

Today, while wishing Frehley a happy birthday, Simmons tweeted the following:

“Happy Birthday Ace @ace_frehley. And many more…The invitations still stand. Jump up on stage with us for encores. The fans would love it.”

IIIINTERESTING. What do you think, KISS fans? Might this happen? SHOULD it happen? I’m not a KISS fan, or not that much of one, so you tell us in the comments!
