Video: Mudvayne Frontman Chad Gray Falls Off the Stage While Singing “Not Falling”

0

Shakespeare himself couldn’t write poetry like this. During a Mudvayne show on July 26 in Tampa, Florida, singer Chad Gray fell off the stage while performing the song “Not Falling” from the band’s 2002 album, The End of All Things to Come.

The 50-year-old singer falls like a rock from the sky, but it doesn’t appear to phase him all that much. Within a few seconds, Gray is singing again as a roadie jumps down to confirm that he isn’t injured.

Mudvayne are currently reliving the early 2000s on a co-headline tour with Rob Zombie, plus Static-X and Powerman 5000. The nü-metal quartet recently reactivated in 2021 after 11 years off. The current Freaks on Parade tour with Zombie is their first US tour in 13 years.

Gray kept himself busy throughout the hiatus as the frontman for metal supergroup Hellyeah, which featured late Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul alongside members of Nothingface, Ministry, Stone Sour and a laundry list of other acts. Hellyeah went inactive following Paul’s 2018 death.

There are still a number of dates remaining on the tour, which you can find below alongside the video.
