Don’t Adjust Your Screens, Babymetal’s Latest Single and Lyric Video is “Monochrome”
It’s been a little over a month since Japanese pop metal duo Babymetal announced their return and since then we’ve known about a new concept album in the works, a pair of shows in Japan this coming January, a tour with Sabaton through the U.K. and Europe, and have heard their first single “Divine Attack.”
Earlier today, the band metal gatekeepers love to hate (because they’re assholes) is back with a new single off their forthcoming album The Other One titled “Monochrome.” Just as they did with their first single, “Divine Attack – Shingeki -,” this single continues the concept album’s theme of each song reflecting a different parallel world the duo visited while “sealed” away in a virtual world called the METALVERSE.
As one can only assume based on the music video, “Monochrome” deals with a black and white world that has a “sky decorated in a spectrum of dreams.” What that means? Who knows. Either way, it’s exciting to hear new Babymetal and see them grow as artists.
