Check Out This 10 Year-Old Kid Nailing Metallica’s “Lux Æterna”
In the weeks since Metallica surprised the world with a new song, “Lux Æterna,” fans all over the world have fired up their cameras to film themselves playing along to the new track. While that sort of thing is inevitable from the Ola Englunds and Bradley Halls of the world, it’s always great to see the next generation of metalheads take their crack at the song.
Enter, Sam Bickmore — a 10 year-old drummer who got behind the kit to take on Lars Ulrich’s part in the new song. As you can see from the clip below, he pretty much nails the whole song from start to finish. And while the more cynical viewer would look at that and say “see, that’s just because Lars is so bad at playing a kid can do it,” we’re more keen to give Sam props for already playing at a pretty good level for his age.
