Check Out the Video for Sylosis’ Latest Single “Deadwood”

I’m not going to mince words here—this new track from melodic thrash/metalcore outfit Sylosis is pretty fucking good. For four and a half minutes, “Deadwood” barrels forward, writing and pummeling the time with an unrelenting attack. If this is only the beginning of the band’s new music in 2023, then the what comes next should be just as exciting.

Sylosis frontman Josh Middleton, who also plays guitar for Architects, said “Deadwood” is only the beginning, suggesting that there will be “more news to come.”

“We’ve never pushed so hard to create something as special as this new music! Deadwood is the first taste of what is to be a very busy year of new Sylosis music…more news to come.

Our focus is to write the best modern metal and it’s very exciting to see a new scene of metal fans and bands emerging for us all to keep developing and growing!”

So go ahead and hit play on the music video below to check out the new track. And if you’d rather listen to it on your favorite streaming platform, you can do that too.

As far as chances to see Sylosis live, they’ve only got one gig coming up as a support act for Lamb of God and Kreator on March 21 at the OVO Arena Wembley in London. Tickets are still available, so grab them while you can.
