GEL Added to This Year’s Furnace Fest

0

We’re still a few months away from Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve our attention right now. And that’s mostly thanks to the bands that are being added to the lineup as we get closer and closer to showtime. Earlier today, organizers took to social media to announce that New Jersey hardcore band GEL will be replacing Anxious on Saturday, September 23.

????Welcome, @gelhc , everybody!

If you’ve seen videos of GEL and Scowl’s guerrilla show at a NJ Sonic, you know the kind of energy these two will bring to FF23!

We’re super bummed to lose one of our new favorite bands, Anxious, but massively appreciate GEL filling their spot on Saturday!

Check out GEL’s new album, “Only Constant”

????️ Ticket price increase April 22nd!
????No-fee payment plans now available.

Hotels between FF, Comic-Con, and Alabama Football will be an issue for us this year. Visit our website for discounted rates and make your reservations ASAP before a Roll Tide or Auburn fan does.

As they mentioned in the announcement, GEL should be familiar to anyone that remembers that viral video of that band and Scowl tearing shit up in a New Jersey Sonic Drive-In. The news of their inclusion comes just days after GEL released their latest studio effort Only Constant.

So what do you think? Does GEL’s inclusion make you want to head down to the Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, AL from September 22 to 24?
