Blackbraid’s “Moss Covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon” is an Atmospheric Behemoth
Late last month, we were ecstatic to report that Native American black metal badass Blackbraid was released a new album this summer, hot off the success of their debut last year. It’s easily one of the more anticipated releases of 2023 and after hearing the first single “Moss Covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon,” the hype levels are even higher.
As you can hear in the clip below, “Moss Covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon” strikes all of the right notes as a vast sounding piece of black metal.With so many layers in its composition and the prodigious length of this track, it’s often hard to remember that this is a solo project by one dude from the Adirondack wilderness.
While the single will be available on all streaming services this Friday, May 5 at midnight local time, the visualizer below lets fans hear the song ahead of time.
Blackbraid II will be available on July 7.
