Nick Oliveri Gets Loud with Mondo Generator’s Latest Single “Death March”
Long-time stoner rock/metal adherent Nick Oliveri is back with another Mondo Generator track and it’s a firey one, at that. The new single, “Death March” doesn’t overstay its welcome, but in the brief moments it’s assaulting your earholes, it’s reminding you why the ex-Kyuss/ex-Queens of the Stone Age bassist has stuck around in the scene for as long as he has.
Speaking of the single and Mondo Generator’s upcoming album We Stand Against You, Oliveri said the writing process relied heavily on real-world experiences he’s gone through over the last few years.
“Death March” is for everyone who refuses to back down, lay down, bend over to authority. We stand against… WE STAND AGAINST YOU! Nine songs of fire, fury and angst! Some of the Songs are reflecting my personal thoughts and some songs are about family and close friends dying or committing suicide and some are about my experience with the corona lockdowns. This is a record of real emotion and not for the weak.”
