Keith Buckley’s Many Eyes Dropped Their First Single “Revelation”

0

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard ex-Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley on a new track. Yet in the spirit of today’s ridiculous amount of new releases and fresh new songs, why not add the debut single from the new band Many Eyes to the growing list?

Featuring Charlie and Nick Bellmore, two instrumentalists behind solo albums from vocalists Dee Snider and Jamey Jasta, “Revelation” is the world’s first taste of Buckley’s new project. And while it’s definitely got some tinges of Every Time I Die in there, there’s more nuance to the track thanks to things like the clean chorus that’s featured prominently in the song.

Buckley said the familiarity that’s present in the song is by design, especially when you take into account the accompanying visualizer you can check out below.

“My vision for this visual was to present something both familiar and otherworldly. something that feels as if it were IN this world but not OF it. It draws from my love of Jodorowsky’s The Holy Mountain as much as it does my adoration of all Christian iconography. The result is an eerily modern Mystic vibe that seamlessly blends with the theme of the lyrics and the feel of the record as a whole.”

This isn’t the first new project to emerge from Every Time I Die’s ashes, as former members Jordan Buckley, Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, and Stephen Micciche joined ex-Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and former Fit for an Autopsy guitarist Will Putney to form Better Lovers.
