Connor Dennis, the drummer of well-known hard rock band Beartooth, will be sitting in on drums during the Late Night With Seth Meyers show this week, with the 8g Band.

Denis will be performing on episodes airing from yesterday through November 2, an exciting gig for anyone in music, especially genres like metal and indie rock that are less appreciated in the mainstream.

About the opportunity to appear on the NBC show, Dennis says:

“So excited to be sitting in with the @8gband on @latenightseth !! Huge thanks to @erx11 and everyone that works on the show for having me. Can’t wait!”

In addition to this exiting, news, the band released their fifth album, The Surface, on October 13 via Red Bull Records. The record shows growth for Beartooth both personally and professionally:

This record is the band’s fifth album and will be out October 13 via Red Bull Records. According to the band, it not only represents musical growth but the members’ personal growth as well.

“Beartooth’s entire discography has been snapshots of my inner monologue and emotional state over the years with a recurring theme: depression and self-loathing,” says vocalist Caleb Shomo. “It’s been tough to understand why I’ve felt the way I do for so long. During the pandemic, I was faced with two distinct paths in life. One—I continue doing nothing to manage the realities of my mental health and continue down a path of self-destruction, ultimately ending in my demise. Two—choose to do the work needed to maintain a healthier relationship with myself, no matter how difficult or painful.

“This album is the story of my beginnings in the new world I’ve created for myself. One focused on health, self love, positivity, understanding, hard work, and most of all, second chances. At the end of the day, life is short for all of us. We can’t escape the end, so why not make friends with it and live in a world focused on living a personally fulfilling life?”
