Mutoid Man’s Live Performance on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Rock Show’ Blew Maida Vale Studio’s Doors Off

0

When it comes to recording studios and getting some killer live performances out of them, few locations really nail it on the head like Maida Vale Studio in West London. Some of metal’s biggest artists have done a session there and yesterday, the world finally got to hear the mighty Mutoid Man have a go at it during yesterday’s episode of BBC Radio 1’s ‘Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter.”

Recorded earlier this year during their European/U.K. tour, the four-song set hit international airwaves and is now available for streaming over at the BBC’s website. Sadly, we can’t embed their player onto this page, so you’re going to have to head over to their official page in order to hear it.

Split into two separate parts within the show, you can hear the band run through “Call of the Void” from their ripper of an album Mutants, along with “Kiss of Death,” “Bridgeburner,” and “Gnarcissist.” You can hear the first half of their performance by skipping over to 46:43 in the player, while the second half can be found at 01:42:40. I know, I know, it’s 2023 why are we manually scrolling to things, but blame it on the British.

Though we’re pretty sure this is the first time Mutoid Man’s made their way to Maida Vale, this isn’t the first time the band’s individual members have been there, as Cave In and Converge have both played there before.

Aside from their latest appearance on BBC Radio, Mutoid Man is currently touring the American west coast, though only two dates remain. You can catch ’em at either of the following shows.
