Ministry Targets Incels and Alpha Bros in “B.D.E.”
This will surely trigger some worthwhile discourse. Industrial act Ministry has been ruffling some feathers as of late with the promotional efforts behind their forthcoming album HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES and honestly, it’s a bit telling to see who gets bent out of shape over it.
This time around, Al Jourgensen and the rest of the band are taking their frustrations out on their latest track, “B.D.E.” Aimed at terminally online and very vocal groups like incels, misogynists, and people who just treat other people like shit because they can’t get laid, the track is a slow and groovy excoriation of the mindset that’s permeated everyday life and politics.
“The incel subsect and general misogynistic tendencies in our society are dangerous yet seem to fly under the radar so we figured it’s time to shine a light on it. In true Ministry fashion we battle it with sarcasm”
HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES will be available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewelcase, and digitally on various streaming platforms when it’s released on March 1, 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album will feature nine new Ministry tracks, with some special guests including Corrosion of Conformity’s Pepper Keenan, Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hütz, and Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra.
