Entheos’ New Single Promises “An End to Everything”

0

It’s may have been a little over a year since progressive death metal duo Entheos released their album Time Will Take Us All, but they’re back with a brand new track that they’re saying heralds even more new music to come later this year.

Released earlier today with an accompanying music video, “An End to Everything” is nearly four minutes of punchy, heavy goodness one minute, with the occasional sidetrack into the beautifully melancholy. That inner dichotomy within the track, vocalist Chaney Crabb said, was by design given the dark and difficult nature of its lyrics.

“‘An End To Everything’ is lyrically about surrendering yourself or giving in to a sense of darkness and despair that you feel is beyond your own control. Musically, the first riff of the song came organically, and the rest of the song wrote itself after. We wanted the song to provoke a feeling of melancholy, with lyrics to match. It became a perfect combination of many of the styles of metal and rock that we aim to blend in our music.”

According to the band, this track not only represents their first new release since their 2023 album dropped, but it’s also a “precursor to the music to come later this year.” No further information was given, so we don’t know if that means an EP or a full-length release, so only time will tell on that one.

In addition, the track also serves as a reminder that Entheos will be touring the U.S. this summer with As I Lay Dying and Chelsea Grin. The tour will run from July 9 to August 10, so be sure to check out the list of dates below and get your hands on some tickets.
