Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth Says What We All Know: Vince Neil Sucks

There are some things in life that are just facts of nature. Grass is green. The sky is blue. Water is wet. And in our little corner of the music world, we all know that Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil sucks. So when Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth said it in a recent interview, it shouldn’t really shock anyone.

Neil caught this particular stray from Filth while the latter was chatting with Sakis Fragos of Rock Hard Greece. In the conversation, he was asked if he still feels as good getting onstage in 2025 as a 51 year old than he did in his 20s back in the 90s. And while Filth says he feels the band’s performances have gotten better over the years, he couldn’t help but take a jab at Neil.

“I know you get a lot of people saying — singers in particular — when they age they say I’m singing better than ever. And then when you hear it come out of Vince Neil’s mouth, it’s not true at all.”

Damn it, Dani you cheeky bitch. That’s our line!

Still, there’s a lot to be excited for beyond Dani Filth’s dragging of a washed up glam metal singer if you’re a Cradle of Filth fan. The band is running through a few more dates through the U.S. now that the Chaos and Carnage tour is done and they released The Screaming of the Valkyries back in March. And if none of those do it for you, there’s still the chance we’ll one day get that fucking Ed Sheeran collab, though I wouldn’t hold my breath for that to see the light of day any time soon…
