Help Fu Manchu Identify These Guitar Pedal Stealing Assholes

Going to shows is a privilege we as metalheads often take for granted. The people we go to see perform do so at great financial, physical, and emotional cost, so the least we could do is not trash the place, not be an asshole, and most importantly not steal from the acts we pretend to support. That last bit of etiquette was particularly lost on two assholes over the weekend and now it’s up to the internet to help identify and shame the ever living shit out of them.

Over the weekend, Fu Manchu played the Bowery Ballroom in New York City. It was one of the stops on their headlining tour with Year of the Cobra and Dusted Angel and up until this point it seemed things were going alright. Flash forward to the end of Saturday night and you get what this Facebook reel posted by the band Weedian captured — two giggling little fuckfaces reaching onto the stage and stealing a guitar pedal.

This has got to be one of the biggest dickhead moves to do at a show. Why steal someone’s equipment?! These guys aren’t close to being done with their tour and you just took something that they need to complete their sound. And we don’t even know what kind of pedal was stolen — what if it was a custom piece that you can’t just order?! Dudes are kinda boned there.

So we’re asking everyone to take a second — especially if you live in the New York tri-state area — and check this Facebook reel. If you can identify that person, be sure to reach out to Fu Manchu via social media and contact law enforcement.
