Clutch Bassist Dan Maines to Miss Remaining European Shows Due to “Family Matters”
It’s gotta be hard being out on the road for as long as Clutch tends to be. When you’re not busy working on new material and committing it for a new record, you’re out there busting your ass on stage for fans all around the world. And all the while your family will continue without you, always knowing you have their back regardless of where you’re at in the world.
Such was what happened to bassist Dan Maines, who the band recently announced would miss the remaining European dates so he can head home and deal with some important family matters. Stepping up to fill in his place for the remaining shows will be Fu Manchu‘s Brad Davis, which the band announced via Facebook.
We’d like to thank our friend Brad Davis of Fu Manchu for filling in on the bass while Dan is at home attending to family matters. Brad played great and made us laugh. Thank you Brad!!
We hope that whatever issue came up that everything’s okay over in the Maines family. We hope to see him back on the road with Clutch when they come back to the U.S. late next month. Be sure to check out the band’s full tour itinerary below.
