Stanley Simmons to Release Debut Single “Body Down” Next Month

This just makes sense. If you have ears, then you already know the caliber of magic made by the fathers of these two. Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons—the sons of, you guessed it, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss—have started their own collaborative project aptly named Stanley Simmons. They’ve sprinkled clips of them covering random tracks around socials for about a year or so and now, they’ve announced they’re going to release an official debut track. It’s called “Body Down,” and it’s coming out December 5.

Stanley Simmons released a statement saying:

“A year ago Stanley Simmons wasn’t even the beginning of a thought in either of our heads. Now it’s pretty much all of them.

“We’re incredibly proud of the record we’re making and very stoked to share it with you all.”

It seems pretty obvious how their team-up came to be, considering how they’ve been attached at the hip since they both popped out of their respective wombs.

“We’ve grown up together. We’re essentially brothers, so we always thought we’d probably play together for fun at some point. But recently Evan picked up a guitar when we were hanging out, and we started humming some harmonies, and it was kind of an unexpected, magic moment. It all just snowballed from there.”

But Evan described the music part of their bond to be largely unintentional. He told Tmrw magazine, “It was never supposed to be a project. We just wanted to sing together once. Then we heard it back and thought, ‘Wait, this actually sounds special.’” Nick added: “There’s a kind of connection you can’t fake. When we sing together, it feels like a third voice, something new.”

They’ve got a lot to live up to, but they’ve both already proven how they can hold their own in a world where their last names mean the most. “People get hyped on the last names. But that doesn’t get you anywhere. You can’t network your way into making something that actually moves people,” they both agree. Well, boys, your voices sound goddamn beautiful together, like angels or some shit. I guarantee you that’s got many of us moved already.
