Bruno Mars Covers Nirvana with Members of Guns N’ Roses & Red Hot Chili Peppers at Company Xmas Party
Add this to the list of why big corporations are goddamn devils—they always get the best shit. While so many of us are getting pizza in the break room or aren’t getting a company holiday party at all, the employees of some big ass company got a fuckin stacked bill to play their lil shindig.
Eldridge Industries is apparently some holding and investment company with over $70 billion in assets. I’m not exactly sure what that means but I do know that’s a shit ton of money that you could do a shit ton of other things with. Anyway, they hosted a private party on Thursday, December 11 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, where a supergroup covers band backed the most random all-star lineup behind the mic. Named The Dirty Bats, the house band was comprised of Guns N’ Roses‘ guitarist Slash and bassist/vocalist Duff McKagan, producer/musician Andrew Watt, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
The vocalists gagged me—Brandi Carlile, RHCP frontman Anthony Kiedis, Pearl Jam vocalist/guitarist Eddie Vedder, YUNGBLUD, and Bruno Mars. Yeah, Bruno Mars. Their 24-song set included covers from artists like The Rolling Stones to Nirvana. Check out the setlist (as stated on setlist.fm) below:
