Jeremy Spencer’s Psycho Synner Changes Name to Psycho Slayyr

Former Five Finger Death Punch drummer Jeremy Spencer has announced that his new band, Psycho Synner, will now be known as Psycho Slayyr — just days after adopting the Psycho Synner moniker in place of the group’s original name, Psychosexual.

Similarly, Spencer, once known within the band as Devil Daddy and most recently known within the band as Grym Synner, will now go by the sobriquet Grym Slayyr.

Spencer explains the name change:

“I chose [the name Psychosexual] because the song’s lyrics were primarily sex-oriented. So, when I formed a new rock band, I kept that name. However, once the new music became guitar-centric, it took on a more sinister style–less about sex and partying.”

“I thought Psycho Synner was a perfect fit for the band’s heavier musical profile. Upon further reflection, though, I realized that the name ‘Slayer’ was kinda-sorta now available.

“Psycho Slayyr is TRULY a perfect fit for the band’s heavier musical profile. And, as a result, I’ve chosen the character name, Grym Slayyr.”

Psycho Slayyr will make their re-re-debut with a whopping nine albums to be released at a time TBA.

Expect a new single soon.
