New Stuff

Pictured: Lita Ford’s actual ass.

Update, 1:16 pm: Now there’s another new song, “Mother,” streaming at The Deciblog special for Mother’s Day. So now you have one new song for each cheek!

I don’t feel like I’m necessarily the best person to judge Lita Ford’s new single, “Branded,” because truth be told, I was never a fan of Lita Ford’s (although her tweets are sometimes entertaining). Of course, I was never a Limp Bizkit fan, either, and that doesn’t stop me from saying I think that band is fucking terrible.

So I guess my point is, I think “Branded” is generic and cheesy in the wrong ways, but maybe you’ll like it better than me? If nothing else, I am curious about the lyrics. The song is clearly about a break-up; is Lita dishing on her divorce with former Nitro glass-breaker/bed-breaker Jim Gillette? And if so, will he release a response song, preferably sung at a frequency only dogs can hear? Inquiring minds want to know.

Check out “Branded” here and see what you think. Lita Ford’s new album, Living Like a Runaway (see what she did there?), comes out June 19 via Steamhammer/SPV. Lita will spend her summer opening for Poison and Def Leppard; get dates after the jump, courtesy of Noisecreep.
