Surviving Suicide Silence Members will Play a Benefit Show for Mitch Lucker’s Daughter

The outpouring of love from the metal community for Mitch Lucker’s family will continue in December when the surviving members of the band will play a special show in California, all the proceeds of which will go towards the education of Mitch’s five-year old daughter Kenadee. A different singer will front the band for every single song, although there’s no word yet on who those special guests will be.

The announcement was made over the weekend at the California Metalfest when the surviving bandmembers took the stage. Here’s some fan-filmed footage of the speech:

The benefit show, scheduled for the Fox Theater on December 21, will be at least the fourth benefit effort since Lucker’s death. Shortly after Lucker’s death, Ash Avildsen announced that a portion of the profits from California Metalfest and the Monster Outbreak tour would go towards Kenadee Lucker’s eduction fund, and the band started selling memorial t-shirts to benefit the same. Hopefully the drawing power of the show in December will be enough to set up Kenadee and Jolie with all that they need for the future, although of course a loving father and husband can never be replaced by all the money in the world.
