Ghost Are Planning a Spring North American Tour

UPDATE, 2:30pm EST: The full tour has been announced! Get dates here.

Original Post:

Ghost recently announced that their new album Infestissumam will be released on April 9th. But that’s not all that’ll be happening for Ghost this spring: they’ll be touring the U.S. and Canada around that time as well. The Swedish occult rockers are rumored to be planning a North American tour bookended by appearances at the Coachella festival in California in April and the Rock on the Range festival in Ohio in May.

The PRP and Lambgoat have both listed conflicting dates without citing sources. MetalSucks has discovered this ticket link for a May 17th show in Detroit. So, as best we can piece together, the routing so far looks like this:

04/14 Indio, CA – Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival
04/21 Indio, CA – Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival
04/29 Vancouver, BC – Commodore Ballroom
05/17 Detroit, MI — Saint Andrews Hall
05/18 Pittsburgh, PA – Mr. Smalls (or Rock on the Range)
05/19 Columbus, OH – Rock On The Range (or Pittsburgh)

We’ll of course let you know when the full routing is released. Meanwhile, we’ve still only heard one song from Infestissumam plus a B-side cover of an Abba song; when do we get to hear what the $750,000 album sounds like?
