The Members of As I Lay Dying are Working on New Music with a New Vocalist
Are the members of As I Lay Dying finally ready to emerge from their self-imposed hibernation following the Tim Lambesis fracas? It would certainly seem that way: after all, it’s almost been a full year since Lambesis was arrested.
All the members of As I Lay Dying who aren’t Tim Lambesis posted brief video clips on their personal Instagram accounts earlier today, each of which contains a different short clip of music over what looks to be studio footage. The vocalist does not sound like Tim Lambesis and the music does not sound like As I Lay Dying, which would lead me to believe that whatever these guys have cooking will not be called “As I Lay Dying” — not to mention that it’d be a lot easier to avoid controversy and constant questioning under a new name — but that’s just conjecture.
Maybe there’s a fifth clip out there posted by the vocalist on these tracks? Let us know if you find one. Or maybe the vocalist is just one of the four AILD guys? A few Instagram commenters who presumably know more than I do about the individual voices of each member of AILD seem to think it’s bassist Josh Gilbert, so maybe there’s something to that.
Here’s the clip from guitarist Nick Hipa:

Presumably we’ll know more about this project very soon. Thanks to MS reader Cam S. for sending this in.
