Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks 2014: Five Featured Bands Announced!
For the second year in a row we’ve teamed up with Converse to offer five talented, unsigned, metal bands the opportunity to record for one day, completely for free, at the state-of-the-art Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn. In April we opened up the application process, and now that Axl, Vince and producer Will Putney — who will be recording, mixing and mastering the sessions — have sorted through all the entries, we’ve chosen our favorites. Here are the bands that will be recording with us in July:
- Blackest (Brooklyn, NY)
- Fulgora (Towson, MD)
- Extinction A.D. (Long Island, NY)
- Resilience (Philadelphia, PA)
- Bardus (Philadelphia, PA)
If your band didn’t make it, don’t sweat: any band can sign up for a day of free recording at Rubber Tracks, any time! Sign up right here.
We’ll be previewing each band in detail, one per week, leading up to the recording sessions in July, then we’ll be featuring the finished products right here on MetalSucks some time in late summer / early fall, once they’re all mixed and mastered by Will. We’ll be hosting a live show featuring all five bands, and Metal Injection will be chronicling everything on video. We can’t wait to hear what these bands lay down!
