Everyone's Replaceable

Is Lukas Magyar the New Vocalist for Veil of Maya?

  • Axl Rosenberg

We knew we wouldn’t have to wait too long to find out who was replacing vocalist Brandon Butler in Veil of Maya after the two parted ways last month — since they were scheduled to play this past weekend’s Knotfest, it stood to reason that, at the very least, a temporary replacement would be named sooner rather than later.

And while the band has yet to make any official announcement, it would appear that Lukas Magyar from the band Arms of Empire is Butler’s successor. An anonymous reader tipped us off that Magyar performed with the band in Denver this past Friday night, while Lambgoat is now reporting that Magyar was also with the band for their Knotfest performance. Here’s a photo they obtained of the performance in question…

…and here’s video from the event…

The dude clearly has chops! He has my endorsement for the gig. Presumably VoM will make some kind of official announcement soon.
