Rob Scallon Superstar Covers Kendrick Lamar on 8-String Guitar
Here’s what’s really interesting about Rob Scallon’s latest video, in which he performs a medley of Kendrick Lamar covers on an 8-string guitar: the results really do not sound like Kendrick Lamar, but, rather, like some new age-y folk music that would be put out on Windham Hill Records. Like, my mom and her friends would REALLY enjoy this.
That’s not a knock against Scallon, by the way — it’s just that this is so not how I would’ve guessed the clip was gonna sound.
