Hollow Earth Take You “Beyond Celestial Limits”

The last time we featured Detroit sludgecore act Hollow Earth, it was to premiere their song “World To Come,” and we made all sorts of references to circle pits and Converge and how that band was the perfect accompaniment to taking a swing at someone or something.

But man, this new Hollow Earth track, “Beyond Celestial Limits,” isn’t like that. It’s slow and seething and agonized and full of dizzy heartache. And that’s awesome — the band’s energy from “World To Come” is translated well here, just via a different avenue, with a heart pulled out through its guts rather than its throat. It’s both a good sign that Hollow Earth aren’t a one-trick pony, and a fucking killer band on top of that.
