Enslaved Release “Heimvegen” from Upcoming Collection of “Rare and Experimental Material”
On November 11, Enslaved will release The Sleeping Gods – Thorn, a collection of “rare and experimental material” from 2010-2011. You can stream one such piece of material below in the form of “Heimvegan,” which is Norse for “Hi, I’m vegan.”
Other than the title referencing the band’s dietary habits, though, I’m not sure what makes this so experimental; in fact, I’d probably argue that ALL Enslaved material is experimental. Regardless, the song is really good — no surprises there — so they can label it however they please as far as I’m concerned.
