Arkaik Release New Song and Video, “Futile State”

MS newbie Mitchel Winney described Arkaik as a “sick ass tech-death band” in his writeup of the band’s single “Occultivation.” That’s pretty accurate, right? Just about sums it up!

So: sick ass tech-death band Arkaik return today with a new single, “Futile State,” and an accompanying music video. My patience for this variety of tech-death only goes so far, so the song is what it is… but at just 3:44 it’s the perfect length, ending before it can get too caught up in itself.

The video, directed by Nikko DeLuna, I like a lot, though. The band isn’t playing in an abandoned warehouse or a grassy field, so they already score points, but the visual aesthetic of the whole thing is super eerie and cool, like mystical techno-goths from outer space or something.
