Here’s What Metallica Would Sound Like with the Guitar and Bass Swapped

One of these days the internet is going to run out of ways to slice and dice Metallica’s music for maximum click potential. That day is not today.

To wit, enterprising YouTubers Andriy Vasylenko and Denis Pauna have taken 17 Metallica tracks and put together a video showing what they’d sound like if the guitar and bass lines were swapped. Some of them don’t sound much different from the originals, with the guitar and bass more or less in lock-step anyway, but a few of these switched up versions showcase how complex the songs’ bass lines are now that they’re up front on the guitar; “My Friend of Misery” stands out to me as one such track.
